We are excited to celebrate our continued growth with our newest Wingstop in Layton, Utah (September 13, 2017). This is our 36th store with Wingstop brand in the US and many team members worked tirelessly to prepare and open this great new location led by General Manager Jack Curtis.
Jack has been with Sizzling Platter for a over 15 years and has been a strong member of the team. He will do a fantastic job with her new store. We asked Jack to tell us about his path to success, and here’s what he shared.
Jack, tell us about your role as a GM…Where did you first begin your leadership role? Mark Howe got me into management at Red Robin about fifteen years ago. I have managed Red Robin, Sizzler, Ruby River, and now WingStop. Four concepts... WOW!!! My role as the GM is the same as an owner. It is my ship to run as if I invested in this store with my own money. Very serious business and all the while a very exciting opportunity. What advice would you give to aspiring leaders? Knowledge is power! There is always something to learn in all aspects of the game. What is your favorite part of being a leader with us? The ability to share the knowledge that I have, and help make my team-members stronger. Together Everyone Achieves More... TEAM By the way… what’s your favorite item on the WS menu? My favorite items are the Mango Habanero Tenders with our homemade Blue Cheese!!!
